Nurture Your Relationships

No man is an island. In order to live a happy, fulfilled life, you will need to nurture relationships with people.

You probably already know this: Relationships, be they romantic or otherwise, take effort to build and maintain. While it sometimes seems that love and friendship can just appear out of nowhere, they can truly vanish over the years without constant nurturing.

The most important gift you can give to your partner, loved ones, or friends, is the gift of time. Money and trinkets can only get you so far. If you truly love these people, you will make time for them.

Prioritize. Prioritizing is the key to success and happiness in life. Think of your partner, friends, and family. They’re often ignored in favor of your career. Make sure that you give some priority to your relationships, especially this holiday season. You will have to skimp on something else, but your relationships — and happiness! — are probably worth it.

Think of this as a gentle reminder to call up those people that you haven’t had contact with for the past few months. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it. 🙂
