You Should Lose Weight.

This isn’t necessarily a contradiction.

Plain and simple rules to follow:

1. Accept yourself no matter what, at any size, age, race, gender, etc.

Love yourself for who you are. This is universal advice. Your love of self should not, and will never, depend on your appearance. If you can’t love and accept yourself now, you won’t even after losing weight or having surgeries.

2. If you’re overweight and unhealthy because of it, you should lose the excess fat.

This is often a life or death situation. You should be losing weight because of your health.

3. If you’re underweight and unhealthy because of it, you should work on putting on some weight.

Thin is not equal to healthy. Eat a lot of healthy foods and lift weights to put on the necessary weight.

4. You know if you’re living unhealthily. Fix that. Eating badly and not exercising are unhealthy.

Fix it so you can live your life to the fullest. Go for healthier alternatives, and find ways to keep moving. It’s simple.

 

Part of loving yourself is self-improvement. Be the best you can be. You don’t have to be model-thin or pro athlete-fit, but you should be the healthiest, happiest, fittest version of you.
